Coupe de France, Stade rennais - Cannes, Sunday, 17:45 CET. Frédéric Antonetti has visibly decided against an extensive turn-over in his squad for the game against Cannes this Sunday. Boukari is included for the first time, Kembo and Doumbia are out, and Douchez returns.
Frédéric Antonetti has published a squad of eighteen players for the home game against Cannes, this Sunday, as part of the Coupe de France’s Round of 64.
A squad in which the main information is obviously the inclusion of winter recruit Razak Boukari, who might begin his “Rouge et Noir” career on that occasion. Also to be noted are the return from injury of Samuel Souprayen and… Nicolas Douchez, apparently recovering very fast after undergoing inguinal canal surgery. Johann Carasso should start in the Rennes goal once again however, as planned at the end of December.
Kembo, still suffering with the ankle injury received in Bordeaux is out for this game, and so is Tongo Doumbia, with a pubis injury. Banned for four matches from Monday, the former Chateauroux player will not return to competitive football until February.
In Cannes, because of multiple injuries in the squad, Albert Emon will have to do with a seventeen players squad only. Two of the best known Cannes players, striker Lilian Compan and first choice goalkeeper Jérémy Gavanon are indeed injured. The team’s second goalkeeper will therefore take place between the posts on Sunday. However, Czech giant Jan Koller and former Lille player Sylvain N’Diaye will be present at the Roude de Lorient.
