Too expensive, interest for Ruffier (Monaco) and Ospina (Nice) seem to have been abandoned, and Benoît Costil should finally arrive on the Vilaine banks.
This Friday already, L’Équipe announced that the Sedan keeper’s transfer could be finalised very soon, on the basis of a three years contracts. This Saturday, daily newspaper L’Union confirmed the information from the sports paper and gave even more precision by affirming that Costil should sign his contract for Stade Rennais Football Club as soon as Tuesday.
Aged 23 and currently a free agent, Benoît Costil has reportedly being approached by Rennes less than three weeks ago. L’Union reports a visit from Charles Biétry and head of recruitment Pierrick Hiard at the Stade Louis-Dugauguez, as well as the presence that fay of Fabrice Picot, the player’s agent. The latter only affirmed that “Rennes seems to be the hottest trail”, without confirming the goalkeeper’s possible arrival in Brittany.
