On December 18th, Yassine Jebbour played his first game in Ligue 1 against Valenciennes, starting as a left winger in Frédéric Antonetti’s eleven. A professional since 2009, the young player trained at the club was obviously left with very little professional playing time since a year and a half, playing most of his football with the Reserve (around forty games to this day).
According to our information, after the game played against Valenciennes, Jebbour and his entourage have requested a loan in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2, in order to develop and receive more playing time during the second half of the season. A request which was clearly refused by Pierre Dréossi, with Frédéric Antonetti relying on his player for the rest of the season.
Until June, Jebbour will therefore have to count on the unavailability of players in defence in order to play in Ligue 1 again. At the end of the season, the French-Morrocan will have one year left on his contract with the Stade Rennais, which expires in June 2012.
