Looking for a replacement to their striker André-Pierre Gignac, transferred to Olympique Marseille, the Toulouse staff came to seek informations from Rennes about Ismaël Bangoura over the last few days.
Asked by Ouest France, Rennes general manager Pierre Dréossi made it clear the player would not join another french club: "Ismaël (Bangoura) in Toulouse, it’s not gonna happen. Bangoura is playing in Rennes. And if he was to leave, it would not be for another french club."
In other words, the Guinean international is still likely to be transferred, and the Stade Rennais won’t keep the team’s current top goalscorer if a good offer was to be made.
