Speaking to RMC, Nicolas Douchez spoke on his future at Rennes, and on the competition with Montpellier’s former goalkeeper Johann Carasso
Contracted to Rennes until June 2011, Douchez seems used to the idea of remaining with Rennes until his contract expires. Having been proposed a contract extension by Rennes in several occasions, the keeper ignored all propositions so far. A few weeks from the season start, and as questions were raised regarding his real desire to remain at the Stade Rennais, Douchez gave a clear answer: "I’m not moving", the player explained on the RMC SPort talk-show. In other terms, the former Le Havre man will be free to sign wherever he wants in January, if his contract situation remains the same.
On his competition with Carasso, his answer was short and simple again: “It’s the manager’s (Frédéric Antonetti) choice”. On L’Equipe’s website, the corsican coach explained he is considering Douchez "as the first choice", Carasso being "a true number one bis"
