Erding and Kana-Biyik out

Four players were doubtful on Friday morning. Two of them were finally forced to renounce to the game in Lorient: Kana-Biyik, suffering with a knee tendinitis, and Erding, who suffers with muscle fatigue, will miss the trip to Morbihan on Sunday. Boye, also suffering with muscle fatigue – the Ghanaian went to the United States to play a match with Ghana in the night from Wednesday to Thursday-, is finally present, as well as Mangane, who has recovered of a foot injury. Finally, even though M’Vila, Pitroipa and Boukari – also involved with their national team this week – have spent most of their time receiving medical attention, the three of them are included in Antonetti’s nineteen men squad.

The Rennes manager, who has recalled Doumbia to the squad after a stint with the Reserves last week-end, will also have to deal without Apam, suspended after his red card against Lille, and is left with reduced options in defence. Mangane could be paired with Boye at centre back, with Théophile-Catherine starting at left-back, unless Antonetti preferred a centre-back pair made of Mangane and Théophile-Catherine, with Mavinga starting at left-back. Danzé will start at right back.
Although there will be no absences at midfield, the forfeit of Erding changes the deal upfront. The Turk should be replaced by Hadji at centre-forward, with Montaño possibly starting on the right wing.
