Yacine Brahimi is back!
Publié le 17 September 2011 à 16h11 byLigue 1, Stade Rennais - Nancy, Sunday 17:00 CET. As part of Ligue 1’s sixth game week, Frédéric Antonetti has called a group of eighteen players for the home game against AS Nancy-Lorraine. Yacine Brahimi finally returns to the Rennes team while Stéphane Dalmat is rested. Kader Mangane and Razak Boukari are out for this game.
Two days after the defeat against Italian side Udinese (2 goals to 1), Frédéric Antonetti has published his squad for tomorrow’s game against AS Nancy-Lorraine. Eighteen players have been called by the Rennes manager, including Yacine Brahimi, who finally returns to the Rennes squad. After his very good match in Udine, Stéphane Dalmat has been rested by the coach following pelvis pains. As expected, Senegalese defender Kader Mangane is out because of the ankle sprain he gave himself at the beginning of the Europa League game. Also injured in Udine, Razak Boukari suffers with a dislocated shoulder and is also out for this game.
As far as anecdotes are concerned, this game will probably be quite emotional for Youssouf Hadji and Julien Féret, who will face their former Nancy partners for the first time since they left Lorraine.
On his side, Jean Fernandez has also called an eighteen players squad for the trip to Brittany. Nancy will be missing several players including Reynald Lemaitre, who is still suffering with a calf injury. Massadio Haïdara is also out with a hamstring contracture. Therefore, the left-back position will be occupied by the experienced Jonathan Brison. Doubtful after a hamstring injury he suffered during the game against AJ Auxerre, Djamel Bakar is finally present in Jean Fernandez’ squad, just like Bakaye Traoré, who was rested during the week because of a cold.
Meanwhile, new South-Korean recruit Jung Jo-Gook won’t do the trip to Brittany, since the former Auxerre striker, loaned to AS Nancy-Lorraine with a purchase option, is yet to be qualified to play with his new club. In the relegation places (18th) after five game weeks, Nancy have only scored two points so far, with two draws and three defeats. Last week, the Lorrains couldn’t take the better on AJ Auxerre (0-0) at the Stade Marcel Picot, and need to try and up their performance this week-end or they would run the risk to sink in the danger zone.
Finally, another reunion will happen with the return of Benjamin Moukandjo to Brittany. The forward had never managed to make it to the first team at Stade Rennais FC.
