Without Boukari and Kembo
Publié le 18 March 2011 à 18h37 byLigue 1, Lyon - Stade rennais, Saturday 21:00 CET. The epidemic of injuries striking Stade Rennes since the beginning of the season is not over. In Lyon, it is Razak Boukari and Jirès Kembo who will be missing, heavily handicapping the Rennes attacking line.
After the avalanche of injuries that left Frédéric Antonetti without his two first-choice centre-backs a few weeks ago, it is now the attacking line that is plagued with multiple injuries.
Announced as doubtful yesterday, Razak Boukari and Jirès Kembo will finally be absent in Lyon. It’s the first time for the former Lens player, who had featured in every game since his arrival at the beginning of January. Yet another blow for Kembo, whose thigh injury received in Bordeaux in November is certainly taking a long time to heal.
Consequently, two players are coming back to the squad of eighteen players called for this game. John Verhoek, who had been left to the disposal of the Reserve last week-end, returns.
This is also the case of Tongo Doumbia, ven though he was part of the extended nineteen-men squad before finally watching Rennes-Marseille from the stands. The forfeits of Boukari and Kembo are adding up to this already acquired of Brahimi, and to the long-term injuries of Apam and Marveaux.
