Montaño, Dalmat and Doumbia out against Arles-Avignon
Publié le 14 January 2011 à 20h09 byLigue 1, Stade rennais - Arles-Avignon, Saturday, 21:00 CET Injured last week-end against Cannes, Victor Hugo Montaño is forfeit for the home game to the bottom of the league. Jirès Kembo Ekoko returns. Stéphane Dalmat is also missing with a thigh injury.
For this first match day in the Ligue 1 return legs, Stade Rennes is hosting Arles-Avignon this Saturday. Frédéric Antonetti will have to build his squad taking into account the absence of four important players. Beside the long term injuries of Apam and Marveaux, Stéphane Dalmat (thigh) and Victor Hugo Montaño (Hamstring) are both out.
The absence of the striker is a real worry, bearing in mind Stade Rennes’ attacking issues. He is replaced in the squad by youngster Frank Julienne.
Missing last week-end because of an ankle injury, Jirès Kembo could train normally this week. His return is the good news of the day.
New recruit Razak Boukari will also play his first game with Rennes in the league.
The Rennes midfield will be handicapped with the absence of two players. On top of Dalmat’s injury, Doumbia will be serving the first match of his sentence, after the heavy sanction received from the LFP’s Discipline Commission for his bad challenge during Bordeaux-Rennes (four games ban). Nicolas Douchez should be returning in Rennes’ goals.
