Frédéric Antonetti
Publié le 17 July 2002 à 00h34 byFollowing Guy Lacombe’s departure, Frédéric Antonetti was appointed as Rennes’ new manager in June 2009. A former midfielder, he spent most of his football player career in second division teams. After becoming a coach for the Academy of his favourite club, the SC Bastia, he unexpectedly took the reins of the professional team in October 1994. Since then, his volcanic behaviour made most of his reputation, but he is also known to be a real team-leader, always obtaining good results despite the limited resources to his disposition. Arriving in Brittany, he had the occasion to prove his ability in a club targeting European qualifications every year. At the term of a slightly disappointing first season, Frédéric Antonetti is now expected to obtain convincing results over the 2010-2011 season.
