Apam: « It really feels good »

Finally operational after his long knee injury, Onyekachi Apam has found the taste of the competition again during the last month. A come back sealed last Saturday with a very promising performance against Caen, for his big return in Ligue 1.

« It really feels good doing what I know best again., the Nigerian defender explains to website MTNFootball.com. Though, I am not fully fit, I strongly believe that the coach has much trust in my ability hence he threw me into action ».
A winning come back, for the moment, since Apam has never proved unworthy. « And from the cheers from the crowd, I believe I did not disappoint., he asserts. It can only get better and we are not looking back until we pick a ticket to play in Europe next season».

Called-up with his national selection before his injury, the return of Apam could also allow him to play again with the Nigerian national team. « I strongly believe that I still have a stake in the Super Eagles but that will depend on the selectors, he explains. Once I am 100 percent fit, I will challenge for a place in the team ».
