Kembo «loves» the Stade rennais

A goal scorer on Saturday night at the Stade Michel-d’Ornano of Caen, Jirès Kembo celebrated his tenth goal of the season by heading towards the Rennes fans stand and kissing the badge on his shirt. A gesture spotted by Ouest-France, who questioned him about his attachment to the club.

«This is a shirt with which I experienced lots of things, [...] very good and less good, the Rouge et Noir striker reminds. I am 100% in Rennes, and happy to play here, with my team-mates. I am very happy with my clubs, since it is a club I love».
At the centre of many interrogations, currently in talks about a possible contract extension but also targeted by a few other teams, Kembo wanted to show his attachment for his training team. “It was a sign, in order to show the fans that as long as I will be on the pitch, I will give it all, I won’t cheat, I will work hard as they expect me to do”. The French-Congolese explains.
