The regional newspaper announces that the player suffers with a minor distension of his knee ligaments. A small injury which could lead the coaching staff to take no risk with a player plagued with injuries in 2011. The squad for the game against Nancy will be published on Friday.
Meanwhile, Kader Mangane is confident he could start the game on Saturday, despite a pain to his ankle earlier this week. “I thought I wouldn’t feel anything after ten days of rest, and I was annoyed to be in pain earlier this week, but this was only a mechanical, warming-up issue, which has been fixed by the osteopaths. It remains slightly fragile but it’s ok”, the centre back admitted to Ouest-France. In case he was facing any issues against Nancy, however, Mangane promises he would “consider pulling out” of the upcoming African Cup of Nations, which he should play with Senegal.
