The winter transfer window is open!

Since this morning, the winter transfer window is open in France. All clubs in the country are now free to recruit until Tuesday 31st January at midnight.

In Rennes, January could see the departure of several players, Stéphane Dalmat being most likely to be the first man to leave the club. In conflict with Frédéric Antonetti, Georges Mandjeck could also leave Brittany in the next few weeks.

As arrivals are concerned, the club is expected to seek reinforcement in attack, and especially at the centre-forward position, for which Mevlüt Erding (Paris SG) is once again the club’s primary target. The “Rouge et Noir” could also register the transfer of Bastia’s attacking midfielder Sadio Diallo before sending him on loan to the Corsican club until the end of the season. Rennes is also thought to be willing to prepare for the departure of M’Vila next summer by buying a defensive midfielder in January (Nancy’s Diakité ?).
