Transfers: An eye on Demba Ba?

According to magazine France Football’s website, Stade Rennes has reportedly “requested information” about Hoffenheim’s (Bundesliga) Senegalese striker Demba Ba in view of a possible transfer.

Ba, aged 25, has revealed himself over the last few years as one of the good strikers in the German league. Since the beginning of this season, he has scored 6 goals in 12 games.

In summer 2007, when the player, contracted to Mouscron, was preparing to join Hoffenheim, his name had already been rumoured as a possible target of Rennes’ recruitment unit.

However, the player’s recruitment remains « unlikely » according to France Football, as Hoffenheim performs well in Bundesliga, with Ba featuring as a regular starter. His profile doesn’t match the requirements recently expressed by Frédéric Antonetti either (read previously).
